A Word from Our CEO  

Having aspirations, ideas and goals is a wonderful way to develop personally and professionally. Fulfilling them feels even better.

This is what OPEn is all about…

The seed started several years ago when I aspired to the idea of bridging businesses and people between cultures. On the giving end, help companies or individuals take what they have to offer, be it tangible (products) or intangible (knowledge), to a whole new territory, to greater awareness and to a new level success. On the receiving end, bring in from a different culture new ideas and concepts that may provide new experiences and enrich lives. It is an exchange that is mutually beneficial.

I experienced the benefits of the exchange as a Chinese who grew up in Canada. I am a Canadian who has retained my “Chinese-ness”. It is on the personal level that I feel the contrast, similarities and differences complimenting each other beautifully and comfortably. And, it is the envisioning of the benefits and possibilities of this “exchange” and “mix” in a broader scope and context that I decided to take it to the professional level.

So, the idea sprouted into OPEn, a professional services firm with a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team that understands the vision and truly believes that we can make it happen.

The initial target market was decidedly bridging between North America and China because, firstly, not only is China one of the largest untapped markets in the world but it has much to offer. Secondly, these are the markets that we are most experienced in and are familiar with. It is the first step.

As highly skilled and fully experienced team, OPEn applies a systematic approach when we take our clients’ businesses into their new markets. Once we understand how large and how far the clients’ aspirations and goals are – we map it for them… step by step. Our task at hand is to help our clients stay on track and follow the planned path to ensure a higher probability of success. We guide them with an aerial view of their forest and a microscopic view of their trees so that they are not overwhelmed by the whole experience and process.

Entry into a new market is always challenging. OPEn’s role is the make it easy and accessible for our clients all the way, from the developmental to the operational stage. Our mission is to help our clients achieve long-term success and we fully commit our skills and knowledge to help them accomplish it.
